City Island in Harrisburg offers a full day of classic fun for locals and visitors alike including baseball games, riverboat rides, and panoramic views of Harrisburg. This island is a little piece of Americana pie that’s reminiscent of days past and the memories you cherished as a kid – something you’ll want to share with your kids today! Home of the Harrisburg Senators Baseball team.
Though our wedding will be in Harrisburg, PA, our favorite little city is just 45 minutes east. Downtown Lancaster City is a foodie's dream, with the best spots for food, coffee, cocktail, beer & even bagels! It's so much more than it's misnomer of everything Amish; but you'll find some of that too, especially if you make time on a Friday or Saturday to stroll through the stunning and historic Lancaster Central Market, America's oldest farmer's market (a personal favorite). You'll find great hotels, the cutest shops, art galleries and great theater if you're in town long enough to experience it all. And of course, if you want to venture outside of the city, you'll find great amusement parks, Amish tourism, historic railroads, museums and tons of other cute little towns (check out Lititz!) to discover.
